Animatronics
Animatronics is using electronics and robotics to stimulate life. They are used in movie making using CGI and stop motion. It is more of physical objects moving in real time in front of the camera. They use this to make creatures that do not exist, that the action that is being made done is to risky to use real people or animals, or this may cost more. The actuation of specific movements can be obtained with electric motors, pneumatic cylinders, hydraulic cylinders and cable driven mechanisms.
